About SH Distributing

SH Distributing was founded in 1991 as a distributor of remanufactured and new tractor parts. Built on hard work, strong relationships, and a commitment to doing business the right way, the company steadily earned its place in the industry.

In 2001, SH Distributing expanded into the recreational marine market by becoming a distributor of Yacht Club Trailers — a pivotal step that helped shape the company’s long-term direction. By 2007, the company moved into manufacturing, producing snowmobile trailer caps and Shore Haven PWC lifts, while also growing its distribution of ShoreMaster waterfront brand products.

A defining milestone came in 2011 with the launch of the Sport Haven brand. What began as enclosed trailers and aluminum utility trailers quickly developed into a trusted product line built on strength, performance, and reliability.

Continuing that forward momentum, Shore Haven pontoon trailers began manufacturing in 2020, expanding the company’s marine product offerings and reinforcing its commitment to the recreational market it has supported for decades.

From its early days to today, SH Distributing has grown year over year — evolving from a single building and gravel lot into a five-building production facility equipped with robotic welding technology and a yard capable of maintaining strong inventory and stock levels. Through every stage of growth, the company has remained family-owned and grounded in the values it was built on.

Today, the next generation is leading the way forward. Scott’s sons, Ben and Dustin Harklau, along with long-time family friend Tanner Thompson, have partnered together to continue growing and expanding the family business. Their leadership reflects the same work ethic and integrity the company was founded on — while positioning SH Distributing for continued innovation and strength in the years ahead.
