Welder Opening at HTC Group Limited

HTC Group Limited, a fast growing company, is a manufacturer, wholesale distributors and licensed transporter of quality marine and recreational products that specializes in our own Yacht Club, Sport Club, and Eagle trailers. In addition to manufacturing and distribution, we represent several of the top-selling boat lines in the country, including Berkshire, South Bay and Trifecta.


A family owned business since 1976, HTC Group Limited. has established a large network of dealers in the Midwest and Central US. Our warehouse in Humboldt, Iowa, houses a wide selection of inventory delivered in our own fleet of trucks, ensuring that new boats or trailers arrive at their destination with the same care and quality we put into our manufacturing.


The Welder is responsible for welding trailers and parts properly, timely, safely and efficiently using trained guidelines. The role welds the material and parts while inspecting for any deficiencies and makes sure that all are corrected. A successful candidate is a detail oriented, multi-tasker with the ability to handle assignments efficiently and accurately.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mig weld trailer components per trained guidelines.
  • Safe and proper use of various welding, hand, air and power tools.
  • Properly identify and inspect all parts for defects to ensure quality products.
  • Inspects all connections to ensure they are properly welded.
  • Assures deficiencies are corrected as needed.
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
  • Completes and forwards required paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Proven experience as a Welder.
  • Must be able to read and understand welding guidelines.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of protective clothing and equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus.
  • Good math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to frequently bend and stoop.
  • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time and exert moderate to heavy physical effort with a lifting requirement of up to 50 lbs.
